Biography:

Dino was born on the 9th of December 1975 in Bangalore. His mother is an Indian while his father is an Italian. He is the second of three siblings. For 11 years he lived in Italy after which he returned to Mumbai and passed out of the St. Josephs College in Bangalore. After this he took up modeling for a fashion company and it was his placing second in the Gladrags Man Hunt that his talent was recognized, thus getting into ads and full time modeling, later his first film offer cane with seeing his performance in the ads.

As a child it was Dino’s dream to be some one like Tarzan or a racing car driver, he never even dreamed of becoming a film star. Dino says that to get the body he has now he had to work out for a couple of hours every week and used to play basketball evey once in a while. The actor says that he is most comfortable in his boxer shorts as compared to anything else.

Dino’s debut was in Pyaar Main Kabhi Kabhi, he co-starred with Rinke Khanna, but the movie was a total flop and failed miserably. However his performance in it got him the role in Rajiv Menon’s film Kandukondain Kandukondain. This along with Raaz a thriller was his biggest breaks into Bollywood.

Dino looks up to people like Lee Iaccoca, Dhirubhai Ambani, some people he says who have managed to make it on their own in spite of life’s problems. The actor used to date Bipasha Basu for a while before they called it quits citing Dino’s over possessive behavior. Besides Bips Dino also dated Indian designer Nandita Nathani, rumour holds that he also went out with Mahima Chaudhry and Amrita Arora.

Dino looks ahead and plans to some day enter Hollywood but till then he will be working in Bollywood, he says that he chooses the roles he plays like for instance he had turned down a role once as it was not the lead role in the movie.

Moving on to clothing, Dino likes to use brands like Armani, Hugo Boss, Rohit Bal and Ravi Bajaj. Colognes are Versus by Versace, Kitone and Polo Sport.
