Biography:
Abhay Deol born on 15 March 1976 is an Indian star originally hails from Chandigarh. He is also a producer whose family has a long history in Hindi Film Industry. Abhay Deol has appeared in movies like Dev.D and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!. Abhay Deol stated in an interview once that he is not into acting because of his father, but that he was involved in theatre in school.

At the age of 18, he decided to take the challenge. It took him almost ten big years because he didn't want to leave his education to get into films. Abhay Deol made his film debut in the 2005 film Socha Na Tha. His second film was Ahista Ahista in 2006. His first 2007 release was Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. which has a multi-star cast and emerged as a box office success. Abhay’s second 2007 release was Ek Chalis Ki Last Local. His third film in 2007 Manorama Six Feet Under, won the Best Film at the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival that was held in New York City.

The actor also won a Best Actor award for his role. His 2008 movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!. Abhay Deol enacted the title role in the 2009 Hindi film Dev.D. The actor has been the cover of Man's World and Time Out Mumbai, with titles such as "the new face of Indian cinema". He placed seventh on Zoom’s "50 Most Desirable Hotties" poll for 2009 respectively. He did Road, Movie with Tannishtha Chatterjee. The talented actor has also started producing films through his company Forbidden Films. For Basra, the first film under his new production company, Deol learned the Israeli martial art Krav Maga.

He also trained to be a deep-sea diver for his Bollywood project Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara which was filmed in Spain. Abhay is in a romantic relationship with model turned actress Preeti Desai. He lives in Mumbai, where he also grew up. His list of favourite films starts with Chupke Chupke,, Mother India, and Dr. Strangelove.
